Police are investigating a two vehicle road traffic collision which took place on Hermitage Road near the junction with Devon Spring Road, Sevinshire, around 4:48a.m. on Sunday 10th July, 2022.

A 74-year-old male motorcycle rider was travelling south along Hermitage Road, when a 23-year-old male riding a motorcycle north along the same road, entered the opposing lane and collided with the 74-year old male.

Both riders were injured in the collision.

The elder of the two was at one point listed in critical condition with what were thought to be serious internal injuries. However, at last check his condition was upgraded and he was receiving treatment on a general ward.

The 23-year-old male who was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst impaired, suffered facial and other injuries, none of which were considered serious.
