Cold Case Appeal Jahcari Antoni Francis Murder
Six years ago on Wednesday 19th July 2017, around 10:40pm Jahcari Antoni FRANCIS was fatally shot, whilst he was inside of a residence on Upland Street, Devonshire. Inside that residence with Mr. FRANCIS were three other persons who were fortunate to not have been injured.
The Bermuda Police Service are appealing for witnesses that lived in the area who might have heard the gunshots and or saw the shooter, who was on a motorcycle, to come forward.
Today, as in previous years, we are renewing our appeal and now the investigative team are looking to speak with two persons. One of them drove by seconds before the shooting and saw a motorcycle parked at the driveway to the residence where this murder occurred. The second person was standing at the gate of Upland Street and Middle Road, Devonshire. This is critical to our lines of enquiry.
The Bermuda Police Service thanks the public for all of the assistance received so far and today’s appeal is for more assistance to help confirm key information, so that we can bring closure to the family of Mr. FRANCIS and ensure those responsible for his murder are brought to justice.
Police are appealing to witness or anyone who may have any information “No matter how insignificant it may seem” to contact Detective Inspector Jason Smith of the Serious Crime Unit on 717-0864 / 247-1218. You may also call 211, the main police number 295-0011 or contact a police friend you may have or the confidential Crime Stoppers number 800-8477 or email www.crimestoppers.bm.
