Shortly before 1:00 a.m. on Sunday 1st August, 2021, police attended John Smith’s Bay following reports of a stabbing incident.It appears several individuals had earlier gathered at that location for a birthday celebration.However, it is understood an altercation broke out around 12:30 a.m. and resulted in a twenty-year-old male and two nineteen-year-old females, being injured with what was believed to be a bladed article.They were each conveyed via private vehicle to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where they were attended to for their injuries
COVID Brief
A 35- year-old male and a 38-year-old female this morning appeared in Magistrates’ Court charged with Breach of COVID regulations. The couple from Maryland in the United States arrived at L.F. Wade International Airport On Sunday 1st November and indicated they were here to attend a wedding. A Port Health nurse outlined the COVD-19 restrictions to them, informed them that they were required to take another COVID-19 test prior to leaving the airport and that they were to remain in quarantine at their hotel
Stabbing incident
Shortly before 11:20 p.m. on Sunday, 12th July, police received a call from a security officer at KEMH. The officer stated that an injured male had been dropped off at the hospital by three other males who then left. The victim bore multiple stab wounds to the upper torso. His injuries were however, considered life threatening. Investigations into this incident are ongoing.
Firearms incident
At around 11:20 pm on Friday 10th July, police responded to reports of gunshots in the Rocky Wold Drive area of Sandys Parish. Police quickly established that two males were seen walking through the area shortly before shouting was heard, followed by what are believed to be three gunshots. Although all of the circumstances are not totally clear, there appears to have been a confrontation between a number of males. A man was seen running away from the area, followed shortly thereafter by two males
