$5,000.00 Offered for Information on Shootings

Crime Stoppers Bermuda PRESS STATEMENT on Wednesday, 23 March, 2022
Local charity, Crime Stoppers Bermuda, are offering a reward up to $5,000 that can be paid out to any individual who gives information on firearm offences that lead to an arrest and conviction or seizure of firearms.
- Last week we had another shooting incident, this time at the Devonshire Recreation Club in Pembroke, we need the community’s help in identifying the two suspects.
- In 2021 there were 19 firearms incidents, resulting in THREE people being MURDERED
- Will YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW BE NEXT!
Crime Stoppers Bermuda is the ONLY organisation in Bermuda which truly “gives the community the opportunity to report any crime, completely anonymously, either by telephone that is answered in Miami Florida, or by web tips on our website”.
Crime Stoppers Bermuda has seen an increase in telephone calls to their 800-8477 telephone number and the anonymous reporting form found on their website www.crimestoppers.bm as people with information, or video footage, may feel more comfortable using the confidential reporting platforms.
However, more information is needed to identify WHO has the guns and WHO has committed these firearm crimes.
Crime Stoppers Bermuda cannot, and will not, report on our immediate success, but we want the public to know that when we pass their information to the appropriate authorities, every piece of information has the potential to HELP solve a crime.
We are also seeking the support of the corporate community, along with the Bermuda film audience, to help raise funds to further our campaign on GUN VIOLENCE and COLD CASES. To that end, the Crime Stoppers Bermuda’s 5th Annual Weekend Film Experience fundraiser will be taking place between 31st March and 3rd April, 2022, at the BUEI Auditorium where a selection of this year’s Oscars Films will be screened.
Persons who wish to learn more about Crime Stoppers Bermuda, or purchase tickets for the film fundraising event, should visit www.crimestoppers.bm.
With over twenty-five years of support from the community, in relation to the detection and prevention of crime, our law enforcement authorities have increased their criminal arrests and seizures of illegal weapons and drugs. NOT ONE PERSON reporting information has ever been identified. Crime Stoppers Bermuda is HERE FOR YOU, they do not want YOUR name or details, JUST your information to help solve a crime.
