Crime Stoppers Bermuda 5th Annual Weekend Film Experience 2022

12:00 AM 12:00 AM
BUEI | 40 Crow Lane, Pembroke, Bermuda

We are back on the BIG SCREEN again in 2022!

Crime Stoppers Bermuda would like to take this opportunity to THANK YOU for supporting our major fundraising event over the last few years and in particular the 2021 Crime Stoppers Film Weekend Experience.

We would again like to congratulate Andrew Stoneham for his selection of 2021 Oscar-nominated films. Last year, Andrew’s commitment to the CRIME STOPPERS BERMUDA’S FILM WEEKEND was further enhanced when he launched his virtual platform, The Screening Room, allowing the fundraising weekend to continue despite social distancing and closed cinemas. It was in an innovative and successful way in which the challenges of viewership were addressed due to the Covid-19 restrictions.

Through this platform, the Bermuda audience continued to enjoy the film weekend prior to the Oscars Award Ceremony. BUT now, it is time to get back to the BIG SCREEN at BUEI, and with the support of our patrons, sponsors, and the Bermudian audience, Crime Stoppers Bermuda intends to continue to show Oscar-nominated films that local audiences can enjoy during this 2022 festival weekend.

Crime Stoppers Bermuda would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank our Patrons and Sponsors, and those who enjoyed the films from the Screening Room’s virtual platform, films which were not only viewed in Bermuda but as far away as North America and the Caribbean.

Andrew will once again be selecting the various films that have been nominated for this year’s Oscar Awards. Over the last four years, he has successfully selected the winning ‘best picture’ from each year, allowing our audiences to experience a film that may never come to our commercial cinemas. This year the films will be shown during the weekend of March 31 to April 3, 2022, with the funds raised going towards Crime Stoppers Bermuda’s ‘anonymous reporting platform’, building stronger ties with the community, increasing social media, and highlighting unsolved crimes, and especially the most recent ‘gun crime’ violence.

Are you ready to once again enjoy the experience of films at the BUEI auditorium?
