Cold Case Appeal Laje Franklin Murder

On Wednesday 6th April 2022, the Bermuda Police responded to a report of an unresponsive person at the side of the road, west of the Clear Water Beach Roundabout, Southside Road, St. Georges. The police responded and initial enquiries revealed that the victim had been shot and died as a result of his injuries. The victim was identified as Laje Samir FRANKLIN, an 18-year-old Bermudian, formally of Barry Road, St. Georges.

On Tuesday, 5th April 2022, Mr. FRANKLIN was seen socializing with friends on King’s Square, St. Georges. Around 11 pm, he left the square on his black motorcycle to meet with a person or person(s) in the St. Davids area. Mr. FRANKLIN’S motorcycle was found on its side approximately 140 metres east of his body.

The Bermuda Police Service are appealing to the members of the community who may have any type of information about this crime. Please, come forward and speak with the investigators or provide the necessary information needed that will assist in bringing the person or persons responsible for this crime to justice. Additionally, your information will assist in bringing closure to, Mr. FRANKLIN’S family and friends.
