Firearms incident

Shortly after 12:30 a.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024, police and other first responders were dispatched to a residence on South Terrace, Pembroke following a report of a female having been found with a gunshot wound.

Upon their arrival, officers immediately commenced life saving efforts on the victim who was unresponsive but breathing.

She was shortly thereafter transported by ambulance  to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where at last check she continued to receive treatment for her injury which is being considered life threatening.

An investigation into this matter has now commenced.
