Unsolved Murder – Jachari Antoni FRANCIS
The Bermuda Police Service is investigating the unsolved murder of Jachari Francis who was shot and killed on the 19th July 2017, at around 10.45pm whilst he was talking to friend’s inside a house located at #3 Upland Street, Devonshire. Francis had been living at this residence for approximately two weeks recovering from a motorcycle accident. The unknown person who killed Francis fired several shots towards the dining room area where he was sat with other persons. Francis immediately rose from his chair and later collapsed and succumbed to his injuries.
Jachari Francis was twenty years old at the time of his death.
There is no description of the shooter. However, the investigation team have considered several motives for the murder and ‘gang retaliation’ is one of them.
Crime Stoppers are further appealing to individuals who were at the scene at the time of the incident and other members of the public who were nearby and live in the area, to report what they may have seen.
