The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) have confirmed the first interdiction of a dangerous new drug known as, “Pink Cocaine”, at L F Wade International Airport. The illicit substance was detected during a routine Customs screening. The BPS Drug Unit is actively investigating this incident. One individual has been arrested in connection with this importation. However, it is believed there are other conspirators involved and they are now actively being sought. Around 6:50pm Wednesday, 9th July 2025, police officers responded to a reported firearm incident in the St. Mary’s Road, Warwick area. Initial details indicate that a lone gunman, wearing dark coloured clothing, discharged a firearm outside a home in the area, before escaping on a motorcycle. No one was hurt. The scene is currently being forensically processed. At approximately 7.15pm on Sunday 14th June 2020, Joshua Rowse was fatally stabbed on South Road outside of the Rubis Gas station, Warwick. At the time of the incident, there were numerous persons in the vicinity of the gas station and vehicle traffic was flowing on South Road. Two persons have been charged to date in connection with the murder and a third person involved (driver of getaway car) is still unknown.
