Firearm recovered

The Bermuda Police Service, (B.P.S), is continuing enquiries into the fatal road traffic collision that occurred around 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, January 29th, 2023, just east of the Henry VIII Restaurant, on South Shore Road, Southampton.

A firearm was found and seized at the scene of this road traffic collision.

The recovery of the firearm and the fatal road traffic collision are being separately investigated at this time, as there is no direct link between the two incidents.

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are conducting enquiries into the fatal collision.

Detectives from the Serious Crimes Unit are looking into the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the firearm.

The BPS is appealing to those members of the public were at the scene of this traffic collision, if you have any information relating to the firearm that was recovered, please contact the Senior Investigating Officer, Acting Detective Sergeant, Anneka Donawa, at 717-2250.
