Do you have information concerning the horrible murder of Jason Mello?

Crime Stoppers Bermuda need your help to solve the murder shooting Jason MELLO, a father of two, who was tragically shot dead on Bandroom Lane, Pembroke.
About 7:41pm on Friday 19th August 2016 police officers immediately responded to emergency calls reporting gunshots on Bandroom Lane, Pembroke. On arrival it was learned that MELLO, a 25 year old, had already been rushed to the hospital in a private car after being shot.
Sadly, despite the best efforts of doctors, Jason died of his wounds not long after he arrived at the hospital.
The police investigation revealed that Jason’s killer is believed to have entered Bandroom Lane, Pembroke on a motorcycle wearing a full faced helmet and heavy dark coloured winter clothing; something most suspicious on a hot summer evening in the middle of August. The lone gunman is believed to have parked their cycle further up on Bandroom Lane, and walked down to where he shot Jason several times. The shooter then returned to his parked motorcycle and rode away from the area through St. Monica’s Road.
The investigation also notes thus far that there were not many witnesses to the incident as can be seen from available area video. Despite this there is still valuable information to be gained from those who may have seen the shooter prior to, or even after, the incident. He may have been seen by someone while fleeing the scene wearing the ‘out of place’ garb.
Please help Crime Stoppers with any information you have concerning this terrible shooting murder that has heartbreakingly taken a father from his children and a beloved family member. Despite current police efforts to solve this crime thus far, much more information is needed to help this investigation reach its ultimate aim, to catch Jason’s killer and bring them (and anyone else who may have been involved) to justice.
