Shortly after 6:30am Wednesday, 6th April 2022, a passer-by found 18-year-old Laje Franklin’s lifeless body with multiple gunshot wounds, lying near the roundabout along the roadway leading to Clearwater Beach, St. David’s. Detectives believe that the young man was fatally shot near where he was found. 24-year-old Che Jennings was fatally shot multiple times in the parking lot of Warwick Workmen’s Club, Thursday 7th April 2022 around 8:30pm, following a community Easter event. Initial inquiries led to an appeal regarding two men on a white motorcycle, heading east on Middle Road, Warwick, shortly after 8:30pm that same night, three years ago. Reported Firearms Incident Witness Appeal
Between 9:15 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, police received reports of a gunshot heard in the area of Clarence Dale Road, Pembroke. Officers attended and conducted a search of the area, however, there was no evidence recovered to confirm a firearm was discharged. Information received indicated two individuals on a motorcycle were seen speeding away from the area shortly after the incident. Police are investigating a confirmed firearms incident which occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 in the area of Devon Springs Road, Devonshire. Prioritise Safety: Selling or Buying Items Online Involving Unknown Persons
The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) is urging residents to prioritise their safety, if intending to meet up with any unknown individual, to buy or sell items advertised online. Three reports have been received between the 24th and 26th December 2024, where an unknown individual stole an item offered for sale on Facebook Marketplace, after meeting unsuspecting sellers at three separate prearranged locations. Confirmed firearms incident December 16, 2024
Around 12:45 a.m. on Monday, December 16, 2024, police received a report of a male lying on the roadway along Tribe Road Number 5, Paget. Units were dispatched to the location where they found the male unresponsive with an apparent head wound, lying near an unattended motorcar with the engine running. EMTs were on scene and commenced life-saving efforts which continued as the victim was transported to the King Edward the VII Memorial Hospital for further treatment. One Year Since Murder of Steve Parkes, Investigation Remains Active
Detectives continue to investigate the murder of Steve Parkes, which occurred around 7:48pm Monday, 11th December 2023 in the Mary Victoria Road, Devonshire area. Police Continue Investigation Into Shooting
Investigations continue into the firearms incident which occurred in the area of Cedar Heights Lane in Warwick around 9:10PM on Thursday, November 21st, 2024.
